All applicants must complete the formal application which may be obtained from the College Admissions Office or from the website. On-line application and downloadable forms are available. An application consists of: a completed application form, a non-refundable application fee, and principal and counselor/class adviser recommendations.

All information in the application form must be certified true and correct by both the applicant and a parent or guardian. The Admissions Office has the right to verify information stated and any form of misrepresentation or omission of facts aimed to mislead shall be grounds for cancellation of application

  • Freshmen
    1. Admission to Assumption College is open to 4th yr. female high school students from different schools across the region and the Asia Pacific. To qualify, the applicant shall have strong academic preparation with an average to above average rating in the stanine scale.
    2. Applicants shall be evaluated on the following criteria:
      • Entrance test results.
      • Academic Performance and potential
      • Disciplinary Record
      • Accomplishments within their school community
      • Recommendations from school counselor, adviser or high school principal

    The Purpose of Each Criteria:

    1. Entrance Test Results
      The purpose of a placement exam is to determine whether the applicant is academically prepared to enroll in a particular course. Specific rating on particular areas should be considered depending on the applied course of the student. For example if the student is applying for Accounting she should have a rating of average to above average in numerical ability as measured by the Assumption College Admissions Test (ACAT) and so with high school grade in Math or given additional tests to measure skills needed for course choice.
    2. Academic Performance in High School
      The applicant's general average must be at least 85%.
    3. Disciplinary Record
      Must have a recommendation without reservation from the school she came from. Manifestations of deviant behavior like homosexuality, substance abuse and illicit relationships shall result in automatic rejection of application.
    4. School Involvement
      Involvement in extra curricular activities.
    5. Recommendations from high school counselor, adviser or high school principal.
      Assessment forms from the admissions office shall be accomplished by the particulars mentioned above.

    Academic Support Programs:

    Applicants whose English or Math score or both in the ACAT is low average are required to take the English / Math Bridge to reinforce skills needed for College work.

    Other Requirements:

    1. Enrollment in the College is a privilege, which may be forfeited by anyone whose conduct is inconsistent with the policies and regulations of the school.
    2. The Parent Partnership Program provides orientation for parents of new students to learn more about the college, its operations and how it seeks to partner with them in the education of their daughters.
  • Transferees
    1. Applicants from other Colleges and universities whose equivalent GPA are lower than 2.5 shall not be accepted for admission to the College.
    2. Transferees who had been dismissed from the College due to academic failure, deficiency and disciplinary violations shall not qualify for acceptance to the College. Appeals for reconsideration must be referred to the Admissions Committee which evaluate the merits of the case to reject or endorse the same to the Chairperson of course choice.
    3. Students who previously attended Assumption College but left to study in other college/university and are considering re-entry shall be categorized as transferees and shall undergo the same process applicable to transferees. They must apply through the Admissions Office for re-admission.
    4. Assumption College will only credit a maximum of 30 academic units provided these are required in the approved curricula of the course applied for and only for those subjects where the applicant received a grade of 85% or higher. If the applicant qualifies, after initial evaluation of grades she secures from the Admissions Office the application form and complete the requirements. Testing date will be scheduled by the Admissions Office.
    5. Granting of credits taken from previous schools will be determined by the Registrar in consultation with the department chairperson. Transferees should have a:
      • College GPA at least 85% for all semesters attended in the last school
      • No failure in any subject and no incomplete grades
      • No disciplinary record from the college/university she came from
    6. Applicants follows the procedure for new enrolles.
    7. The honorable dismissal document from last school attended will be required only if the applicant is accepted and enrolls in the College.
    8. All transferees are accepted on probation upon admission.
    9. Transferees who had enrolled in two or more Colleges/Universities prior to Assumption College will be authomatically be disqualified from Admissions. (Except for special cases: eg. Family movement due to work assignment of parents)
  • Re-entry Students
    A student who has filed a leave of absence for a semester or a year must re-apply for re-entry by submitting a letter of request to the Associate Dean prior to the start of the semester.

    Re-entry of students who have left the College from 3-5 years shall be determined by the Associate Dean of course in consultation with the chairperson and the registrar.

    If approved, the applicant accomplishes the re-entry form and submits this to the Registrar's Office upon enrollment.

  • Second Degree Applicants
    1. Assumption College graduates who wish to take a second degree course will follow the curriculum prescribed for the course. General education subjects required which were already successfully taken in the first degree shall be credited.
    2. College graduates from other schools who wish to earn a second undergraduate degree should submit the following to the Admissions Office.
      1. letter addressed to the Admissions Committee
      2. transcript of records (GPA of at least 85%)
      3. discipline record from previous counselor,adviser or dean
      4. they will follow procedures for transferees
    3. The application is forwarded to the Chairperson of course choice. If recommended for testing, the applicant follows the procedure at the undergraduate level.
  • Foreign Students
    1. A non permanent resident of the Philippines seeking admission to the College must follow the following procedures:
      • Secure an application form at the College Admissions Office and pay the corresponding fee at the Treasurer's Office.
      • Foreign students follow the application procedure for Freshmen enrollees.
      • Admissions Office will follow the same process for Freshmen enrollees in the assessing of applicants category and classification.
    2. Upon notification of acceptance the applicant pays a fee for visa processing and forms required for the application for students visa.
      1. Five (5) copies of the Student's Personal History Statement (PHS) duly signed by her, both in English and her national alphabet accompanied by her personal zeal, if any, and containing, among others, her left anf right thumbprints and a 2x2 inch photograph or plain white background taken not more than six (6) months prior to submission.
      2. Transcript of Records/Scholastic Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student applicant's country of origin or legal residence.
      3. A notarized affidavit of support and proof of adequate financial support to cover expenses for students accommodation and subsistence, school dues and other incidental expenses.
      4. A copy of the applicant's birth certificate or its equivalent authenticated by the Philippine Foerign Service Post.
      5. Police clearance issued by the National police authorities from the students country of origin or legal residence authenticated by the Phil. Foreign Service Post having consular jurisdiction over the place.
      6. Medical Health Certificate issued by authorized physician including the ff:
        • standard chest x-ray
        • blood test
        • urine and stool test
        • HIV test
        • Quarantine medical examination by the National Quarantine Office.

    All foreign students shall pay an alien fee of 7,000 every year to the Liaison Officer of the Registrar's Office.

    For permanent residents, a verified Certificate of Registration (ACR) from the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID).

  • Reservation
    1. Acceptance letter from the College Admissions Office.
    2. Original NSO birth certificate
    3. Lab test results
    4. Original 4th year report card

    Note: Confirmation Fee/Reservation Fee is Php 10,000.00


    1. Present acceptance letter to the Admissions Office.
    2. Present report card or transfer credentials or official receipt showing payment of DECS processing fee to the Admissions Office
    3. Acceptance letter is stamped "cleared for registration"
    4. Bring acceptance letter on registration day.
